Veterans Christmas Dinner

The Veterans Christmas Dinner on Dec. 23rd was a huge success. The Post is very thankful to Sue Barlow who donated money for the food and organized this event. Sue does this every year and every year it gets better. Many thanks again to Sue for her generous donations to put this event on and all the other "behind the scenes" work she does for ALPOST 157. Thanks also to all who donated their time and effort to make it work. Their are too many names to mention.....you know who you are!

American Legion Riders

American Legion Post 157 Branchville has applied for a charter membership of the American Legion Riders. The process has already been put into motion and we have signed 26 charter members. The next meeting will be on Monday January 9, 2012, 7:30 pm. Individuals who are members of the American Legion, Son of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary who own and ride a motorcycle are encouraged to join. Details about joining.......rules, regulation, dues, displacement requirement can be addressed to John Sedlock (President) at the post (973) 948-4550. If you are interested come and ride with us!

Members:

Any Ideas for fund raising events please convey to our commander or any of the other post officers. These functions in addition to the bar and hall rental keep post 157 alive. As you already know, We are a non-profit organization that relies on these to help the Post, Our Veterans, charities and our community. Volunteers are often needed to help create and organize these events and dinners........not to mention the labor to put the event on ..........Any and every idea is gladly considered. Please note that on this blog site there are comment options. You can express yourself regarding posts on this blog or e-mail me directly. I can pass on ideas and suggestions to any of the post officers.
